La Màquina Theatre is situated in the heart of València, featuring an intimate 55-seat performance venue. Our space adheres to current health and safety guidelines, ensuring a worry-free theatrical experience.

Our theatre serves as the creative hub for both our Theatre and Dance School and our Theatre Company. We actively collaborate with national and international theatre and dance companies who share our artistic vision, interests and values.

At La Màquina Theatre, we champion contemporary performance, fostering a space for reflection and dialogue. Our venue stands as an inclusive, community-driven platform with a special focus on Latin American theatre, welcoming audiences and artists from all backgrounds.

Season 2024-2025

Periferia

La Màquina’s new season, titled “Periphery”, embraces theatrical voices from beyond the gravitational centre.

This centrifugal shift accelerates our journey of openness under the banner “La Màquina Oberta”, reinforcing our commitment to building bridges with regional communities whose artistic voices often go unheard. Periphery stands as a beacon, illuminating beyond the orthodox, the established and the centralised, casting light on the edges where independent artistic ventures find their sanctuary.

May, christened as “La Màquina Oberta month”, saw us welcomed by Festival Visibles, a partnership championing inclusion that has enabled us to expand horizons and break down barriers impeding the flourishing of Valencian performing arts.

This season, epitomising our relentless eight-year quest, brings to València a mosaic of talent from across Spain. From the Cantabrian coast, we welcome companies from Asturias and Cantabria. The Mediterranean arc is represented by Catalan and Balearic groups, whilst the peninsular interior offers works from Castilla y León. Periphery is our gaze towards the horizons, bringing the marginalised to the centre and making the invisible visible.
